Update regarding no school - Wednesday, Oct 19th

October 18, 2022Dear Parents, Staff, Students and Community Members:I wanted to take this opportunity to update you on the natural gas issues that are taking place at the school.A gas leak was reported to us on Saturday, October 8th, which we promptly had turned off. We knew with fall break close we’d have an opportunity to get the problem addressed while students and staff were off campus. The initial leak was extensive and fixed. However, it requires an inspection from Wagoner County before ONG will restore gas to the school. While waiting for the inspection, additional problems have been identified. These must be addressed as well before the inspection can occur.Our hope is that one more day out of school will allow for all issues to be addressed and the inspection received. I apologize for the inconvenience this has caused, however, this is a safety issue and keeping our students and staff safe is our top priority. We will NOT have school on Wednesday, October 19, 2022 and will keep you informed of any changes as we receive further information.Sincerely,Mr. Kelly Husted-Superintendent
