Porter Pirates Baseball advances to Regionals!

After winning districts last Friday, April 19^th, Porter Pirates baseball will be traveling to Wright City on Thursday, April 25^th,  facing Gore at 3:00 p.m. in the first round of Class A Regionals. Mr. Frank Linzy was present to cheer the boys on to their final win in the district games and stayed around after to take pictures with each team member and present them with their own signed baseball card from Mr. Linzy’s days playing pro ball for the Cardinals. An 11-year Major League career took Mr. Linzy to San Francisco, St. Louis, Milwaukee and Philadelphia.

This was a proud moment for Coach Jeremy Teel and assistant Coach Prentice Joseph.  They will be working hard this week in preparation for regionals and hope to advance to play in the State Tournament the following week. Congratulations to the team and coaches for coming this far and wish them best of luck this week!!
